Job Description Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to:

Collaborate with business and system teams to understand and document their datasets and requirements.
Liaise with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to identify regulatory requirements for data retention or deletion.
Analyze and document existing business processes related to data management, identifying areas of risk or inefficiency.
Support data governance projects by documenting business requirements, as well as system functional and non-functional requirements.
Work with Data Governance Office members and technical teams to identify solutions for common data risks.
Provide recommendations to resolve identified data risks and issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of risks and potential mitigation actions.


Required Qualifications:

2-5 years of relevant business analysis experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience communicating with stakeholders across different organizational levels and functions to articulate issues and drive decision-making.
Experience negotiating with stakeholders with different or conflicting requirements to reach consensus and define innovative solutions.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Ability to work with unclear requirements or ambiguity.
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks and provide recommendations for risk reduction.
JLPT N2 Japanese and fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience defining data retention/deletion policies or logic.
Experience with privacy compliance requirements.
Experience with information security requirements.
Experience with Six Sigma (or similar methodologies).
Experience writing policies and procedures.
Experience working on software development projects.
