EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation

What’s the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation??

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation
was established in 1987 as a core organisation responsible for industrial cooperation between Japan and the EU, as an affiliate of the Trade and Training Centre Foundation (renamed the Centre for the Promotion of International Economic Partnership in 2019).

Since the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) entered into force last year, the Centre, which is strongly expected by relevant organisations to contribute to the further development of the EU-Japan economy, will become an independent organisation as of 1 July 2020 as the 'EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation'. We have taken a new step forward as a new legal entity.

・ Tokyo headquarters has 20-25 people. The nationalities of the staff are Japan, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Romania.
・ There is also a European branch in Brussels.
