JTV Mobile's vision is to become Japan`s premier source of foreign-flavored content for the Japanese wireless market, while expanding into other major markets such as Korea & China. It develops original content and services primarily over 3 converging platforms: mobile phones, the web, and TV networks. JTV Mobile's new 3G SNS (Social Networking Service) for mobiles "tomodachi.tv" has been successfully launched in Japan and is expected to be the next big keitai hit in 2006. JTV has already launched a few world firsts, the latest being it's Movie-Greeting-Card ("muguri") service currently provided on the tomodachi.tv mobile service. Although JTV was a pioneer and the first in the world to prepare SNS over keitai back in 2002, it found it had to contend with the usual non-risk-taking conservatism in Japan, so made a wise decision to launch its service once Japanese market understanding grew to a critical level which it finally reached late in 2004 (thanks to web-based SNS such as Mixi & Gree).
