★What is the office like?★
We moved to the current office in July 2023. Our new location is much more spacious and sophisticated!
Masaki(English Instructor)
①Why did you join the company?
I wanted to concentrate all of my energy on teaching English! At many other English-teaching schools, employees are often tasked with sales work in addition to their teaching responsibilities, but here at Jstyle I am able to focus entirely on utilizing the English teaching methods that I learned at university to provide quality classes for my students.
②What is the office environment like?
The company is really lively and international, and everyone is super friendly with their own unique personalities. We often have themed events and parties both inside and outside of the company and across our many departments. These events are always perfect opportunities to connect, communicate, and enjoy relaxing with other employees. There is at least one moment every day where I feel really happy to be working here.
③What are some of your most memorable moments at work?
It is always exciting meeting my students in-person. The other day, two students who became friends through YUME-KANA came all the way to our office, and it was a lot of fun talking with them about a bunch of things.
Myuu (Quality Management)
①Why did you join the company?
I really love English, which is why being able to work in an environment where I can speak English with my co-workers really appealed to me. I travelled abroad in the past, but I spent so much of my time there learning English that I was unable to get the most out of my trip. With that in mind, I thought that I could support future travellers so that they can spend their time abroad in a meaningful way.
② What do you find rewarding about your job?
In the Quality Management division, I am specifically responsible for meeting the needs of customers who take one-on-one lessons with our tutors. I feel rewarded every time a customer I have assisted tells me that they successfully found a job and wanted me to be the first to know, or that they want to meet me in person to thank me after they return home from abroad. Sometimes, they will even send me a photo of themselves with their instructor at their final English lesson which always makes me really proud.
③What do you have to pay attention to each day?
We strive to provide detailed information to our clients and the people we work with. Our customers need to not only improve their English skills, but also to prepare for their working holiday in the limited time they have to attend lessons. We work hard every day to further improve the quality of our support by sharing even the smallest details with our colleagues. It is very important that we review our customers' information as to not over-inform or under-inform them.
Callian (Study Abroad Program Planning & Study Abroad Administration)
①Why did you join the company?
I had an interview directly with the company president and we talked about the company's various businesses and new ideas for the future. I really resonated with what YUME-KANA was doing, and so I decided to join the company. Their approach towards the study abroad experience really sets them apart from other agents. At YUME-KANA, students are supported every step of the way: before, during, and even after their trip abroad, our customers are constantly in our care. I really got the impression that YUME-KANA takes its students' needs seriously.
②What are your daily tasks?
The Administration Division is mainly responsible for visa support for our clients, as well as securing accommodation for them overseas. In addition, we are also responsible for course research and business-to-business sales. Since this position requires a lot of contact with people from overseas, English is the main language used in the workplace. However, because communication between other customer success branches is also necessary, Japanese is also used a fair amount. I would say that I use about 60% English and 40% Japanese while at work.
③What is your message to potential applicants?
You must be mindful and focused to notice the smallest details for the sake of our customers. We are a team that is always communicating and sharing ideas with each other, and if you have any ideas on how to improve efficiency in the workplace, we'd love to know! If you are looking for an international workplace and an energetic team, please apply!
We will help you realize your goals and dreams.
Would you like to join and support us to the best of your ability?
We look forward to hearing from you!
