MISSION Together, Let’s Create Culture Loved by All

Fans, creators, investors, and companies. Our goal is to work together with everyone involved in COVER to promote 2D entertainment culture originating in Japan.
As the origin of our name (Communication + Virtual = COVER) suggests, we established our company in June 2016 with the aim of bringing about a future where everyone can communicate through games, concerts, and other entertainment in online virtual spaces.
Ever since September 2017, when our first VTuber debuted, VTubers have become a household name, and our company, hololive production, has grown to have a global fanbase.
We are further promoting VTubers and other elements of Japan’s 2D entertainment to the rest of the world. In addition to our VTuber production, which have been our main content to date, we are also expanding our business into media mix, metaverse, and other diverse areas.
We believe that the Japanese content industry is one of our country’s most attractive features that can be shared with the rest of the world. Along with such appealing content, we are boldly investing in the future in accordance with our value of daring to take action. With a mid-to-long-term perspective in mind, we will continue to strategically develop a succession of businesses in our quest to create a culture that the world loves.
In this way, we aspire to increase the number of moments when people who love Japanese culture and the people of Japan can be proud of this culture.
Together with fans, creators, investors, companies, and everyone else involved in COVER, we will continue to push forward to enliven the 2D entertainment culture originating in Japan. We hope you will continue to follow us in our future endeavors.

A place where people can work together to create experiences that astound the world
To ensure that all employees are able to play an active role, we put a great deal of effort into onboarding, training, operation of an evaluation system, 1-on-1 training, support for developing skills, and other initiatives. Even as the scale of the company grows, by carrying out “YAGOO Lunches”—periodic opportunities for employees to speak with the president—and monthly meetings that all employees attend, we ensure that every employee is aware of what initiatives COVER is implementing. We also verify the perspectives of all employees in order to promote our value of daring to take action.
A culture that respects creativity and utilizes individual strengths
So that employees find it easy to talk to one another on a normal basis, we carry out a range of initiatives aimed at improving communication within the company, including welcome lunches for new employees and COVER Café, where members can interact. In these ways, we encourage a culture of taking responsibility as a team. Throughout the fiscal year, we award the employees who embody our values and get results. Through this and other efforts, we make sure employees place importance on respecting one another, taking on challenges, and working to the end of a project, and we work hard to foster an atmosphere where employees feel they progress together.

■COVER Corporation's First Overseas Concert!Looking Back on the “hololive English 1st Concert” in Los Angeles
"hololive English 1st Concert -Connect the World-", one of the biggest events ever for hololive production, was held on July 2, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.
I believe that hololive production's first concert in the U.S. was an impressive event for VTuber fans both in Japan and around the world!
On behalf of the team that helped make this performance possible, we interviewed Mr. M of the Live Management Department on a variety of topics, including: preparing for the event; differences and similarities between performances in Japan; a personal retrospect of the event; and a few other surprising tidbits!
We hope today's message can convey even a sliver of the overwhelming enthusiasm of our fans abroad.
With our talents being able to stream in different languages, we have garnered fans both domestically and internationally, and the interaction and communication with our fans abroad has become an important bridge between Japan and the world.
However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have unfortunately been unable to hold live shows abroad or regional live shows featuring our overseas talents.
The passion of the members involved in this project is certainly undeniable.
■「YouTube Theater」
YouTube Theater in Los Angeles can accommodate approximately 6,000 people, with various events held both in the day and at night.
Even after the United States was chosen as where hololive production will have its first overseas concert, it took over a year before an actual venue was selected…! Were there any difficulties in preparing for the event that were unique to it behind held abroad?
“I heard that there were various difficulties that would not have been present in Japan, but the Live Management Department and the hololive English team handled every problem thrown at them, and I personally believe that is why they were able to make this first overseas concert such a success. Thanks to their efforts, tickets sold out almost immediately.
Even before the show began, it felt like expectations were already sky high!
Incidentally, a mere silhouette of the concert’s key visual was released on February 11 via Twitter – our ever-intuitive fans immediately deciphered the riddle
