![]() Nippon Giant Tire (NGT) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Goodyear. It is based in the Tatsuno area of Japan and manufactures Off-The-Road (OTR) tires in its high-technology facility for Goodyear's customers. The company was founded on June 1971 with it’s former name, Toyo Giant Tire. The first bias tire was manufactured on October 1972 and in January 1985 joint venture agreement with Goodyear, radial technology was introduced into production. On October 1985, the company was renamed Nippon Giant Tire (NGT). Our company is the first among the tire manufacturers which got the ISO9001 approval in 1994 and ISO14011 approval in 2002. On June 2012, Goodyear acquires 100% ownership of Nippon Giant Tire. Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies. It employs approximately 69,000 people and manufactures its products in 52 facilities in 22 countries around the world.
