Over the past 90 years, Canada and Japan have been working together as business partners and allies to build a better world, and have maintained a dynamic relationship as neighbors across the Pacific Ocean.
Today, Japan-Canada relations are energetically promoted by scholars, artists, young people and people of all fields, as well as business people and government officials. A network of wide and deep relationships, such as government agreements and cooperation mechanisms, business alliances, sister city building, and inter-organizational cooperation in all areas, make it strong and unwavering.
〇Trade sectionWe conduct a variety of activities to promote business between Japan-Canada.
In particular, importance is the provision of the latest information to the Japanese side on various Canadian products and product sources, assistance to Canadian companies with information on the Japanese market and market strategies, and promotion of bilateral investment.
We conduct to promote understanding and awareness of Canadian society and all aspects of the Canada-Japan relationship.
It is also responsible for introducing Canadian culture, academics, and sports, and promoting Canada-Japan exchange, communication, and media relations.
〇Consular Section (English / French)
We provide advice on passport issuance, citizenship-related services, and legal issues for Canadians who live in Japan or travel to Japan.
In addition to the above, there are Political and Economic Section, Defence Relations, and the Management Services which are involved in promoting the Japan-Canada relationship through activities in their respective fields
