Job Description Embedded hardware engineers develop, design, and test hardware for embedded devices, including on-board computers (OBCs) that are installed on satellites.

- Development of embedded hardware
- Designing board specifications based on satellite system requirements and circuit design based on that
- Software development based on satellite system specifications, other satellite component specifications
- Documentation of design information
- Design and code review
- Creating circuit diagrams using electrical CAD
- Prepare the information necessary for board manufacturing, request manufacturing to the manufacturer, and perform acceptance inspection of the delivered board
- Various test design and practice
- Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors to ensure interoperability/reusability
- Promoting debugging and interfacing with adjacent subsystems
- Collaborate with software designers to solve problems
- Support satellite operation in initial operation and when trouble occurs
- Implement and test device drivers using C/C++

Requirements		 [Must]
- Technical college or university degree related to digital circuits, analog circuits, electromagnetism, computer science, control engineering, mechatronics, or other engineering
- Ability to communicate in Japanese OR English at business level or higher
- Have general problem-solving skills
- Circuit design of microcomputer or FPGA and its peripheral circuits (power supply, digital and analog interfaces, etc.)
- Experience in FPGA logic design using HDL or IDE, and ability to create testbenches
- Have basic knowledge of computer systems, especially embedded systems, or have experience working in that field
- Experience with low-speed （<1Gbps）interface deisgn and test (ex, CAN、RS422、I2C、SPI、SpaceWire etc）
- Experience with high-speed （>1Gbps）SerDes interface and test （SpaceFibre、ethernet、PCIe etc）
- Ability to create and read documentation for hardware design review
- Ability to design various tests
- Knowledge of protocols such as UART/USART, SPI, I2C
- Basic knowledge or experience in using various equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, stabilized power supply)

【Desirable】
- Engaged in embedded hardware development for more than 3 years at previous job
- Practical experience in circuit simulation using LTSpice, etc.
- Have experience designing artwork for PCBs
- Experience in designing FPGA systems using processor IP cores or SoC type FPGAs
- Experience with embedded software development in C or C++
- Experience in real-time system development based on RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, vxWorks, uCLinux, etc.)
- Experience with HDL testbenches and simulations
- Ability to use command line tools, GNU tools, scripts
- Ability to use configuration management tools. It would be nice to be able to use it from the console.
- Ability to build software build environment
- Have practical experience in harness design
