The engineering team includes software engineers, SREs, product managers, and project managers, each bringing their own area of expertise.
As an Engineering Manager, you are expected not only to possess technical expertise, but also to manage a diverse set of engineering roles, enhancing team productivity while providing mentorship and career support.

This position is for a Senior Engineering Manager (or Director) to lead the development organization for the company’s B2C services: NicoSuma and NicoSuma Buyback.
These services aim to provide an excellent user experience while delivering reliable, trusted platforms—especially for partner campaigns and collaborative initiatives.
You will work closely with product managers to drive development and operations while managing the engineering team to help achieve key business goals.

【Responsibilities】
・People management, mentoring, and initiatives to improve the productivity of engineering team members
・Leading and improving initiatives related to product development and operations, such as sprint planning, release management, and support system enhancements
・Providing technical advice and guidance to support smooth development within the team
・Building the engineering organization, including recruitment efforts and defining team policies
・Proposing long-term product direction by considering how NicoSuma and NicoSuma Buyback should evolve from an engineering perspective
・Collaborating across teams and departments by understanding and aligning with initiatives from product managers and other development teams

Requirements
■Required
・A degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
・5+ years of experience as an engineer or project manager
・2+ years of experience mentoring or managing engineers as a Tech Lead or Project Manager,
or 2+ years of experience leading a team of 3 or more software engineers as a Team Manager
・Experience developing B2C services such as e-commerce, SaaS, or social networking platforms
・Understanding of development ecosystems such as Git, CI/CD, and concepts like DevOps and the software development lifecycle

■Preferred
・Experience with or strong understanding of programming languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript
・Experience using platforms such as Shopify or HubSpot
・Deep expertise in at least one specific area, such as backend, frontend, or data engineering
・Experience collaborating across teams, including with project managers, UX designers, and others
・Experience in vendor management, including working with external partners
・Experience building and operating production support teams
