This position is responsible for ensuring efficient logistics to meet customer needs and being the first point of contact for all logistics-related adjustments. This includes the business unit's supply chain, customer service, problem solving with logistics partner companies (LSP: warehouse operators, freight forwarders), procedures, SAP material flow expertise, and material flow adjustment for orders. In the department responsible for logistics functions across our business units, you will cover various different types of goods, including dangerous goods, toxic and deleterious substances, dangerous goods under the Fire Service Act, and temperature-controlled goods. [Job responsibilities] ■Warehouse management and logistics: Respond to problems related to warehouse storage and delivery. In the event of an accident, take initial action promptly, make adjustments within the department, analyze the cause, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. ■Maintaining relationships with logistics partners: Transmit necessary information to logistics partners and prepare documentation required for storage and logistics. ■Storage and logistics KPIs: Regularly review KPIs (key performance indicators), perform root cause analysis, and take appropriate corrective measures for logistics-related issues. ■Working with other departments and external parties: Working with business supply chain, customer service, logistics specialists, sales, site logistics, and external logistics partners (warehouse operators, freight forwarders, etc.) to resolve issues regarding inventory import/export, carrier and freight agent performance, documentation, and means of transportation. <Warehouse and distribution> ・Ensure that warehouse inventory is taken and accepted at the time of entry, and that pull-out and shipping at the time of exit are performed in a timely manner and in accordance with standard procedures. Work with customer service team and freight forwarders to ensure that inventory movements are always aligned with the SAP system in accordance with internal control policies. ・Perform monthly inventory checks and regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory data. In case of inventory discrepancies, investigate the cause and take corrective measures. - Arrange waste collection and execute inventory withdrawal from the system after necessary procedures. - Liaise with warehouse for regulations, proper packaging, repackaging and labelling. - Coordinate storage and logistics execution plans with departments and logistics partners for actions determined by each department from time to time. <Export and Import> - Review and resolve vendor services related to import and export of goods, carrier and freight performance, order processing/documentation, transportation assets, and other issues, payment process/issues through interaction with supply chain, customer service, logistics specialists, sales, logistics purchasing, in-house logistics, external warehouse contractors, and logistics partners (freight forwarders and carriers). - Manage and adjust import and export based on transportation time and inventory status in cooperation with supply chain and customer service. - Execute, manage, review and cross-check documentation required for product delivery and product transfer (including import/export operations and customs procedures) and execute procedures as necessary. ・Work with the Product Stewardship and Environmental Law Group and the Import/Export Control Department to ensure compliance with import/export regulations. |
