Job Description We are looking for a very highly motivated individual to join our Engineering Manager position. As the Engineering manager, you will be responsible for creating a robust engineering department that aligns to the company’s business strategy.

Team Management - Build, grow and manage a highly motivated, high performing engineering team.

Knowledge and Technical Support Center - Establish engineering as the central hub and knowledge center of all products and engineered parts. Collaboration and communication between interdependent teams.

Customer Focus - Assist customers during troubleshooting.
Design and engineer solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Assist sales in creating project proposals for target customers, including costs and suppliers.

Compliance and Conformity - Ensure process and product compliance are in place and embedded.

Standardization - Define and realign standards and standardization of all products and parts.

Costs - Ensure lean design and manufacturing cost are considered in all aspects of design.

Quality - Control revisions, obsolescence and superseding of all drawing ensuring systems are in place to ensure all departments have clarity of current technical specs at all times.

Test Center - Manage product demonstrations for prospective customers and conduct product training for internal and external audiences.

Other - carry out other duties as needed

Requirements
◇Bachelor’s degree in engineering
◇Language skills: Native Japanese, conversational English
◇Able and willing to travel locally and internationally
◇Able to multitask. Manage and deliver multiple improvement projects.
◇Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and written with the ability to listen, engage and persuade, and to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information
◇Minimum 5 years of work experience in Cement, Steel (Metal), Plastic or Chemical (Compounding, Masterbatch)
◇Knowledge of AutoCAD (or similar), Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
English Level Daily Conversation Level (TOEIC 475-730)
Japanese Level Fluent(JLPT Level 1 or N1)
