Job Description As the Regional Head of Cargo, you will lead a dedicated team across Japan and Korea and be responsible for the development and execution of all cargo commercial and service delivery strategies for our award-winning, customer-first company. You will be involved in a wide range of areas including sales, operational functions, supplier management and service standard improvement.

<Job Details>
■Service Delivery and Excellence
• Ensure reliable, consistent and cost-effective delivery of services and products (cargo, mail and air Hong Kong) to meet customer needs.
• Oversee monitoring of third-party outsourcing in cargo handling and freighter ramp handling in accordance with contractual obligations and ensure standards are consistently met or exceeded.

■Revenue Generation
• Develop and lead the execution of cargo business plans aligned with the headquarters cargo strategy and designated key performance indicators.
• Periodically review regional revenue performance and direct cargo managers to take appropriate action to overcome revenue shortfalls.

■Safety and Regulatory Compliance
• Develop and lead a culture of zero tolerance for safety and security incidents.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, security and regulatory requirements.

■Efficiency Improvement
• Lead regular reviews of commercial and operational business processes to continually drive efficiency improvements that benefit both our customers and the company.
• Develop policies and procedures and monitor their effectiveness to address the ever-changing cargo operational and commercial environment.

■Bridging Head Office and Local Sales Teams
• Set commercial strategy in partnership with Head Office by providing valuable market knowledge and insights.
• Provide regular updates to Head Office on key local cargo market information and competitive changes. Partnerships and External Liaisons
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the Civil Aviation Authority and various applicable regional and national regulatory bodies.
• Develop and manage relationships with shippers, key industry and trade partners and associations to ensure the company's interests are well represented. Talent Development and Performance Management.
• Demonstrate leadership and lead by example, in line with Cathay's core values. • Identify learning opportunities to develop high potential employees and ensure appropriate training and development.

• Support the People Manager to design and implement internal development programs, including appropriate succession planning.

Requirements
• Minimum 10 years’ experience including at least 5 years holding a senior management role in cargo, sales and/or marketing or an airline or related industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience in the regional cargo/freight forwarding environment
• Demonstrably proven success in building, maintaining and leading teams across multiple locations and multi-cultural backgrounds
• Verifiable established track record in meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets
• Proven ability to successfully plan strategically and think innovatively
• Excellent command of Japanese and English
