Job Description	Position Name: General Counsel/Senior General Counsel Major Duties The location of this position is Tokyo This position is full-time and not retained This position reports to the APAC General Counsel, who then reports to the Deputy General Counsel (Global) Advise on contractual and commercial issues, government and regulatory legal issues Advise management and HR on employment issues Respond to legal inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, and review commercial contract content Respond to the company's client, vendor and employment disputes, and risk management Guide and support business units on legal and regulatory requirements Assistance Respond to ad-hoc inquiries including risk identification, analysis and assessment to provide appropriate legal solutions Work closely with other lawyers in the organization and coordinate legal matters handled by external counsel Work with regional and global compliance and ethics teams to identify common concerns, establish common standards and educate the company on local best practices Work with legal affairs, internal audit and HR as necessary to investigate allegations of unethical conduct and other violations of Infosys policies, recommend appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective actions and ensure such actions are implemented promptly Other duties as directed Qualifications and Education Law degree from a recognized university in Japan Qualified to practice law in Japan and 8+ years of legal experience, preferably with in-house counsel or a law firm Required Skills Ability to read, write and speak English and Japanese In-depth knowledge of Japanese law and experience in the IT industry and general corporate law related to contracts. Knowledge of employment and regulatory law is a plus Strong leadership skills and the ability to quickly gain the trust of clients Mature and strong leadership skills, with the ability to direct and influence colleagues Practical and creative problem analysis and solving skills Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work as necessary to meet business needs Highly motivated and committed to client service, including the ability to work as part of a small, dedicated team of compliance personnel Responding to the needs and questions of internal and external business clients
