We are recruiting for 1 Counsel positon in the Strategic Legal Unit to deliver strategic legal advice to JERA’s business in Japan and supervise/instruct/lead other team members.

Assisting in the decision making (informed decision) of JERA’s management and business by providing legal advice and solutions, and enhanced governance that serve to improve JERA’s enterprise value and global competitiveness, thereby ultimately contributing to the realization of JERA’s mission and vision
・Thermal power generation business
・Renewable energy business
・Engineering, consulting, etc. for each of the above businesses
Branch office: East Japan branch office (Tokyo), West Japan branch office (Aichi)
Power plants: 26 locations in Japan (Fukushima, Niigata, Ibaraki, Chiba, Kanagawa, Tokyo, Aichi, Mie)
Domestic: 11 companies, Overseas: 7 companies
|Working Hours||09:00 - 17:40|
- Must be admitted/qualified to practice law in UK, US or Australia.
- Demonstrable ability to draft and review English legal documents.
- Excellent negotiation and project management skills, strong analytical and legal research skills
-Native or excellent command of English
- Minimum 7+ years of PQE in private practice or corporate legal department (in total)
- Robust transactional and advisory experience in the Energy or related sector.
