Cultural facilitators play a key role in promoting cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication in young children. One of the most rewarding aspects of working in early childhood is being able to take on the important role in contributing to the next generation of young individuals by providing them with the important foundations their need to grow up as responsible and competent learning individuals.

All curriculum based activities at Angelica encompass a significant cultural and seasonal element, allowing you to engage in a wide variety activities throughout the year. You will also be presented with the autonomy to plan and implement specialized activities or your own choosing such a cooking and pool-based activities. 

Although communication with the children is conducted in English, all office related duties and communication with the head office and nursery staff is conducting in Japanese, providing a great opportunity for you to hone on your Japanese business skills.

As Angelica is constantly expanding the number and scope of its business operations, there are also opportunities to undergo planning and business management related duties in the future. Thus, the cultural facilitator position is an excellent employment opportunity for a candidate who has a high level of Japanese proficiency with a strong desire to establish long-term employment in a Japanese firm.

Daily Schedule

◇9:00am – Arrive at the daycare

◇9:15am – Curriculum based activities

◇10:45am – Outdoor activity or field trip

◇11:30am – Lunch time

◇12:30am – Midday day nap

◇2:45pm – Children awake

◇3:00pm – Afternoon tea

◇3:45pm – Curriculum based activities or free play

◇6:00pm – Home time

※ Daily schedule varies throughout the year due to the emphasis of prioritizing the implementation of seasonal activities whenever possible. The daily schedule of each class will vary depending on the target age of each class.

 

Yearly Event Schedule

◇April – Entrance and welcome ceremony

◇May – Children’s day, rice planting

◇June – Vegetable harvest excursion

◇July – Summer festival, water & pool activities start

◇August – Daycare slumber party, water & pool activities end

◇September – Seniors day, rice harvest

◇October – Sports day, Halloween party, sweet potato harvest

◇December – End of year performance, Christmas party

◇January – New year party, rice cake pounding event

◇February – Bean-scattering festival

◇March – Doll festival, graduation ceremony, end of year special excursion
