[Machine tool programming] Programming of machine tools and NC lathes, and operator operation. The tool path created by CAM is converted into NC data using a post processor to suit the machine tool being used. Since the format of NC data differs for each machine tool, a post processor suitable for each machine is used. NC data is mainly written in a program for machine tools called G-code. |
