Job Description |
Ahead Group is seeking a skilled SAP Configuration Engineer for an international Asset Management organization in Tokyo. The SAP Configuration Engineer will be responsible for configuring, developing, and optimizing SAP solutions related to finance systems. This role focuses on supporting the financial industry, ensuring seamless integration of investment products into SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP TRM/FAM, ABAP development, and investment products while demonstrating strong proficiency in data analysis, SQL coding, and reporting systems. Fluency in both Japanese and English is required to effectively communicate across teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Configure SAP systems related to investment accounting (ideally TRM/FAM). Develop and troubleshoot ABAP code in line with project requirements. Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and optimize data models using SQL. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of investment products (e.g., Bonds, Stocks, Derivatives) into SAP systems. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance financial reporting and investment product management. Provide support and enhancements to SAP BW. |

Working Hours |
Working closely with local and US based teams, with night meetings required. Flexible work hours to cover both Japan and US based needs. If desired, a primarily remote work environment with only 1 day per week required in-office. |
Job Requirements |
Required Skills: Experience in SAP Configuration and/or ABAP development (TRM/FAM experience is preferred). Proficiency in SAP BW, reporting systems, or data warehouses. Strong SQL query coding, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills. Knowledge of investment products such as Bonds, Stocks, and Derivatives. Experience in the financial industry. Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or Native-level Japanese). Business English proficiency, with a TOIEC score if non-native. Desired Skills: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA. Interest in continuing professional development in SAP technologies and financial management systems. Ability to work independently and with global teams. Collaborating effectively with diverse teams. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset. |
