Ahead Group is seeking a Senior Backend Development Engineer to join one of Japan’s largest internet shopping mall services, used by tens of millions of consumers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing high-load web backend systems, ensuring continuous and stable service during major events such as sales. This role offers a dynamic environment where your engineering skills will be constantly challenged. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee backend development projects for the store management system (RMS). Design, develop, test, and release backend components and systems. Provide operational support including responding to inquiries from consumers and merchants, troubleshooting, and other operational tasks. |

Required Skills: Experience leading development teams or projects. Proficiency in service monitoring, production environment troubleshooting, and reporting. 5+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot for web application development. 5+ years of experience in REST API design and development, with familiarity in JUnit testing and code reviews. Experience with relational databases (Oracle or MySQL). Experience using Tomcat or WebLogic. Proficiency in Linux, Gradle, and Git. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Strong communication skills in English. Desired Skills: Experience as a tech lead, including high-traffic web system architecture design and technical decision-making. Experience with performance, stress, and load testing. Knowledge of system scalability and sustainability. Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Grafana, and Kibana. 3+ years of experience in PHP application development using any framework. |
