Job Description Project Manager for Application Operation and Maintenance Support for E-commerce Projects for a Major Retail Client

[Major Job Responsibilities]
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans including timelines, resource allocation, budgets and quality standards to ensure the delivery of maintenance and operation services
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintain strong relationships, understand their business needs and ensure AMS services meet their expectations
- Lead a team of application support specialists to provide direction, guidance and support for the effective delivery of AMS services, including incident management, problem resolution and change management
- Oversee the timely resolution of application-related incidents and issues, adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and minimize business impact
- Coordinate the implementation of changes to applications, including updates, patches and enhancements, following established change management processes to minimize business impact
- Monitor system performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
- Increase system scalability, reliability and efficiency
- Implement performance tuning strategies to monitor and manage service levels, including response times, resolution times, and customer satisfaction, and implement measures to continuously improve service delivery.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with application operations and maintenance, and proactively address issues to minimize impact to service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure AMS services comply with quality standards and best practices, and conduct regular reviews and audits to evaluate compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Accurately document AMS processes, procedures, and configurations, and regularly report to customers and stakeholders on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis on service performance, KPIs, and project status.
- Leverage feedback from customers, team members, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of AMS services.
- Effectively allocate resources to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and support. - - Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure appropriate headcount and skills for project tasks.

[Essential Qualifications]

- Japanese nationality or working qualification in Japan (We do not sponsor visas at this time)

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

- Experience in managing SAP Commerce Cloud or similar e-commerce platform (e.g. Salesforce Commerce Cloud), or experience in application operation and maintenance projects

- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, execute, and monitor projects

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and processes such as ITIL

- Practical experience in incident management, problem resolution, and change management

- Knowledge of cloud architecture, configuration, and management is preferred

[Preferred Qualifications]

- Experience in implementing and customizing SAP Commerce Cloud is preferred

- Project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are preferred
