Job Description |
Responsibilities: ■Record and reconcile daily accounting entries of trades, cash, fee, etc. ■Execute month-end close processes, including but not limited to preparation of accounting entries, account analysis, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts when required ■Responsible for the preparation of audit schedules and tax filing schedules ■Assist in the implementation of internal controls and accounting processes and procedures ■Work with leadership and other departments to ensure proper accounting treatments of complex transactions ■Maintain effective relationships with the Japanese Tax office, Japanese regulators such as FSA, and BOJ. ■Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed |

Job Requirements |
Requirements: ■A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other related fields ■Experienced finance professional with 3-5 years of experience in a financial or fintech/crypto environment ■Self-starter and able to work with ambiguity and yet knows how to work around obstacles and challenges ■Stay up to date on changing cryptocurrency tax regulations and adjust internal process/procedure to mitigate risk and ensure compliance ■Strong organizational and management skills with solutions oriented approach ■Relevant accounting or bookkeeping licenses is a plus ■Native-level in Japanese, business-level in English or Mandarin |
