| Job Description |
Satellite harness engineers are involved in designing harnesses that connect hardware mounted on satellites, including layout planning using 3D CAD, harness circuit design, component selection, specification confirmation with related departments, harness drawing creation, manufacturing review when mounted on satellites, support for satellite embedded hardware evaluation, evaluation Harness design, procurement, and coordination with harness vendors. - Development of satellite-mounted harnesses (electric wires/coaxial cables) - 3D CAD harness route study for installed harnesses on satellites - Circuit design of installed harnesses on satellites - Management of ICDs (Interface Control Documents) between subsystems - Selection of components (connectors, wires, etc.) to meet satellite operating environment - Create harness drawings (using harness drawing software) - Design and arrangement of test cables and harnesses for electrical and subsystem tests - Review of procedures for harness installation on satellites, preparation of procedures, and support of operations - Procurement of harness-related parts with vendors and confirmation of specifications - Evaluation of electrical components in corporation with embedded hardware design - Other activities such as quality improvement, performance improvement, and work procedure improvement |

| Job Requirements |
【Mandatory】 - Graduation from a technical college or university related to engineering ( with knowledge of electrical circuits) - At least 3 years of experience in development and design work related to harnesses installed in industrial products - At least 3 years of experience in harness layout planning/design using 3D CAD ( any software is acceptable) - Ability to communicate at a business level or above in Japanese and English (Proactive attitude to communicate in foreign languages is required) - Experience in harness circuit design (From To design, wire size selection based on applied current value, etc.) - Ability to select appropriate harness components (connectors, terminals, wire types, etc.) based on operating environment, manufacturing conditions and conditions of connected components (or understanding of conditions necessary for selection) 【Desirable】 - Understanding of harness manufacturing processes and experience in manufacturing - Knowledge and development experience of embedded hardware other than harnesses (FPGA design, board design, etc.) - Basic knowledge of electrical system design. (Satellite electrical systems, automotive electrical/electrical systems, medical equipment electrical systems, etc.) - Basic knowledge or experience in using various types of equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, stabilized power supplies) - Knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mechanism and Effects Analysis) and FTA (Failure Tree Analysis) - Project management experience (schedule management, progress management) - Willingness to take charge of design areas other than harness design in the future - Expertise in satellite system development |
