Data Center daily maintenance activities
Installation of network equipment and servers including Install, label and test Patch cables
Installation, maintenance and lifecycle of the whole trunk-infrastructure
Provide onsite support using Fluke testing equipment to test all new and suspect cable connections.
Update ServiceNow queue with ticket resolution information
Participate in some of the project meeting and provide governance advise according to the respective policies
CC Client datacenter within Tokyo 23wards (you may visit other datacenters in Kanto region depending on the situation)
will be determinded in accordance with prevailing market norms and commensurate with your relevant experience.
less than 5 years of DC work experience: 4~5.8M
Weekday: 8 hours work shift in between 7am to 9pm
Weedend and National holiday: 9am to 6pm (shift)
out side of above hours: on call (shift)
Since the work is at datacenter, there will is a possibility of work onsite during weekend/out side of business hours.
Skills and Experience(Must )
Knowledge of data cabling with experience
Basic understanding of network VLAN's and IP addressing
Good knowledge of fault-finding with OTDR and Fluke testing equipment.
Good knowledge of cabling products of manufacturer's i.e. Commscope, Anixter, Corning, etc.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Min of 5 year working experience in Data Center operations
Good understanding and knowledge in data cabling, i.e. structured cabling and patching
Good level of experience with inventory management
Good level of experience with supporting change and incident management
Good documentation skills and record keeping
Experienced in hardware support, breakfix and troubleshooting.
Business level English and Japanese language skills
Ability to respond to issues and provide timely update, and escalation
Good level of experience in Rack and Stack
Good level of understanding of Data Centre ecosystem e.g. power, cooling, temperature, humidity, fire prevention etc.
Good level of experience in Capacity review e.g. rack assignment for equipment onboarding
Good level of experience in Physical Security operations (e.g Keys and access cards management, and Physical Access)
Good communication skill and able to understand the customers requirement
Knowledge of end user ticketing tool ServiceNow including updating -forwarding and closing of tickets
Good knowledge of Asset Point, Power IQ
Good Excel skills
Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team are important
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Positive attitude, ready to help all support teams with cabling related issues
