| Job Description | Ahead Group is looking for an Infrastructure background Project Manager to join us onsite at a large Investment Bank in Tokyo. The primary purpose of the job is to provide end-to-end project management from requirements gathering and analysis, through implementation (on one or more projects at any given time). Qualified candidates will be experienced in the banking industry and have a background in running large regional or global IT projects in the infrastructure space. |

Responsibilities: ・Develop detailed project plans / SOWs and schedules using established standards (high level of documentation quality expected) ・Provide work direction and leadership to assigned project teams, including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts to meet quality, schedule, milestone, and budget commitments ・Proactively monitor project plans (milestones and critical path dates), identifying and resolving issues and assessing variances ・Generate status reports for key stakeholders and upper management, and take proactive corrective action when needed ・Understand compliance and governance requirements for shared versus segregated services Requirements: ・5+ years of project management in IT leading large cross-functional projects in accordance with a formalized project methodology (PMP or Prince2) ・3+ years of finance industry experience ・Strong cost management, execution, and analytical skills ・Demonstrated ability to identify, understand, and communicate business needs for technical projects ・Ability to interact well with program leadership and senior management; strong presentation skills required ・Solid comprehension of infrastructure systems such as server, network, and security ・Understanding of standard governance within a finance environment |
