Job Description |
• As a Cloud Infra Engineer, you'll guide customers on how to configure and deploy their workloads such as containers or in VMs on the cloud, consisting of network architecture, identity, and access management, application security, logging, monitoring, billing, and more. • In this role, you'll work with strategic cloud customers. Together with the team, you will support customer implementation of Google Cloud products through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, capacity planning, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more. • You'll consult with customers on how to best design their applications for optimal scaling including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), load balancer setup, caching, compute opti, medications, continuous integration, and delivery pipeline. You will travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower customers. • Work as a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex cloud infrastructure challenges in the areas of networking, containerized, action, and clustering. • Provide deep technical expertise on Google Cloud infrastructure technologies and solution patterns including VM instance groups, Kubernetes, load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery architectures. • Travel 30% of the time as required within the region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities. • Act as a liaison for the engineering and product teams to commercialize solutions with partners and customers |

Job Requirements |
• 8 years of experience managing client-facing projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with engineering/sales teams/customers. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • Experience internet-facing internet-facing production-grade applications in virtualized environments. • Experience writing software in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, etc.). • Experience with cluster deployment and orchestration technologies (e.g., Puppet, • Chef, Salt, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Jenkins). • Experience with scalable networking technologies (e.g., Load Balancers, Firewalls) and web standards (e.g., REST APIs, web security mechanisms). • Experience in system administration tasks in Linux, Unix, or Windows and familiarity • with standard IT security practices (e.g., encryption, certificates, key management). • Knowledge of managing Kubernetes in large production open-source • Demonstrated understanding of open-source server software (e.g., NGINX, • RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc). • Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently and idiomatically. |
