The reservation coordinator role is based in Intrepid Japan’s office in Kyoto:
You will be responsible for making reservations and making commitments to meet the needs of Intrepid Group and other tour customers as a reservation coordinator.
◆ Outline of duties ◆
①The position manages the accurate and efficient confirmation of bookings for all suppliers for scheduled trips and ensures the budgeted costs are correct and that all information relating to the booking is accurately recorded in internal systems.
② Where a booking is not able to be made or there is a costing issue, the Reservations Coordinator will provide accurate feedback and alternatives where appropriate to ensure that customer service levels are maintained.
Follow-up support for all bookings and responding to enquiries from the Sales and Operations teams is also
critical to maintain excellent customer service.

9:00 to 18:00 (scheduled working hours 8 hours break 60 minutes)

・Understanding of Japan’s travel industry and prior experience working in Reservations (ideally in Japan’s inbound sector)
・ An understanding of and a passion for Intrepid Japan style of travel, including the styles of our different brands
・Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage own workloads
・ Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks without error within tight timeframes
・Well-developed standards of customer service and professional communication skills
・Strong written and spoken communication skills in Japanese and English
・Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
・Certified Travel Supervisor qualification (総合旅行業務取扱管理者) highly regarded

Estimated annual income: 3-3.5 million yen (based on experience and skills)
(including fixed overtime pay for 30 hours)
Salary increase → There may be no salary increase due to circumstances such as performance. (No results in 2021, some results in 2022)
Bonus → 10% of the maximum annual income will be paid depending on company and individual performance (There may be no bonus depending on performance etc. (No performance in 2021, no performance in 2022)

Commuting allowance: Yes (paid based on company regulations)
Bicycle commuting allowed
Holidays: Approximately 123 days a year (Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and year-end and New Year holidays 12 / 29-1 / 3)
Paid leave: According to the Labor Standards Law (10 days after 6 months in the first year)
Complete weekly two-day system (Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays)
Employment of full-time employees
Trial period 6 months (working conditions during the trial period remain unchanged)
About 5 minutes on foot from Kyoto Municipal Subway "Karasuma Oike Station" or "Hankyu Railway Karasuma Station"
