This job involves developing new customers, and is also known as development sales or business development. What makes this job unique is that the main product is power equipment, and the market is a new growth market. As for the product, we do not just explain the product and sell it, but also propose the optimal equipment combination as a solution after understanding the customer's application, so a technical background such as the basics of electricity is necessary. In addition, since we are developing customers in a new growth market, we often have to grope around with little information, so a spirit of challenge is required. ・Job content The mission is to acquire customers in a new growth market with power equipment as the core. To do this, we need to understand the market, customers, and applications (facilities, equipment, devices, machines, etc. that customers who use our products are involved in). FM (field marketing) belonging to the same department will develop the information obtained from the initial survey, and approach customers based on that. If there is not enough information, as mentioned above, it is necessary to go and obtain it yourself. If we meet a potential customer, we will continue PR activities to generate business negotiations for power equipment. If a business negotiation occurs, we will transfer it to the sales representative in that area or work together to acquire the business negotiation and sales. We will support the sales staff until the business gets on track. The work is not particularly seasonal. This is the sequence of actions. - Approach target customers in the target market Approach customers through information from within the company or trading companies and cold outreach - Generate business negotiations for power-related equipment with target customers Attract interest by making full use of presentations and actual machine demonstrations during customer visits - Expand to sales and follow up after business negotiations have occurred Proceed through the process up to adoption, and if the matter is concrete, hand over to sales for follow-up, and basically sales are acquired by the sales department - Support sales expansion of power equipment (bridging the gap between the sales department and the product marketing department) Support the sales department with inquiries, proposal advice, study sessions, accompanying visits, study sessions at trading companies, etc. Support the adjacent product marketing department by proposing new product introductions and sharing market information, etc. |
