Applying for jobs
- ▼
- A company is not responding to my application. Can I somehow follow up with them?
It is not possible for you to contact a company via WorkinJapan.com without the company having first contacted you.
If the company to which you have applied has previously contacted you through the Messages section of your My Page,
you may contact the company by replying to that company's message.
Please bear in mind that the amount of time to receive a reply to your application will vary.
Some companies may respond within a day while others may take several.
If you would like to double check that your application was indeed completed, you can view a list of your completed applications on the Application History section of your My Page.
- ▼
- Can I revise or retract a job application? Can I change my resume after submitting a job application?
Applications cannot be retracted or revised once submitted.
It is, however, possible for you to revise your resume after application. When an employer receives notification of a job application,
the employer then views the applicant's resume directly from Daijob's resume bank. When you revise your resume, the revisions are reflected
in the resume bank, so if you revise your resume after submitting an application but before the employer views your resume,
the employer will see your revised resume.
Scout
If you make your resume public, companies will see your resume. If those companies have an interest in you, they will "scout" you, i.e. contact you.
- ▼
- I can not make my resume public.
Items on the resume entry screens marked with asterisks (*) are mandatory. If any one of them is incomplete,
your resume can not be posted to the Resume Bank. Please check your resume again and make sure you have provided all mandatory information.
In particular, check your Employment History Details. If there are blank histories, please delete them by clicking the yellow "Delete this employment history" button.
