Teach in one of our 28 studios throughout Kato, Kansai and Chubu
In 1995, when group lessons were the norm for English language instruction, Gaba was established with the goal of redefining the English-learning experience. Since our inception, we have helped clients to improve their English communication skills by providing one-to-one lessons of the highest quality. Step by step, Gaba is continuing to expand into different areas of Japan. We feel that what we offer truly is the best way for clients to achieve their language goals. We are the first to realize that to maintain our reputation of being innovative and pioneering, we have to continually evolve. Our teaching method has been refined over a decade of application and we are still setting lofty goals for ourselves in an effort to become that much better! We are eager to show the rest of Japan what we have to offer. Keep looking for our green Gaba square – wherever in Japan you may be!
We want instructors to grow with us. We believe in the continued growth of our instructors. In order to nurture your skills and talents, Gaba offers ongoing development sessions to help you further develop the teaching and client service skills you need to become a successful instructor. Gaba's Belt Certification System offers a way for Gaba to recognize excellence and professionalism within our system. It allows instructors to 'certify' themselves into different levels, or belts. To move from one belt to the next, instructors must meet specific skills/experience criteria and maintain them. A change in your belt comes with an associated change in your per lesson payment
Instructor remuneration is done on a per lesson basis. How much you earn will depend on your schedule availability and the quality of your lessons. Our Gaba system is designed to recognize and encourage excellence. Instructors who are familiar with our teaching system, who take pride in their lessons, and who are available to teach, are generally more highly-remunerated. For instructors who are interested in improving their teaching skills, it is possible to increase their per lesson payment through The Gaba Belt Certification System.
Gaba does not assign teaching schedules to instructors. Instructors submit their own schedules on a monthly basis. The busiest times at Gaba are always weeknights and weekends. We can usually, without exception, accomodate requests to work during these peak times. Weekday afternoons are typically much slower. It is unrealistic to expect to work only during the afternoons and to keep busy.
