ビジネス英語テクニック ‘Teach’ vs. ‘Train’
In the last blog, we set some problem sentences which used ‘teach’ and ‘train’. Here are the answers:

Teach:
Passing information or knowledge to someone else, usually in a school or learning setting, and is usually related to subjects:
- Our boss taught us the value of customer service.
- Boris taught us mathematics in his free time.
Train:
Showing or explaining someone how to perform a particular action by getting them to practice repeatedly, usually for a physical action or skill but can sometimes be used for mental activities:
- Could you train me how to operate this machine?
- John told me that he hasn’t been trained on Excel yet.
Hopefully this will make using ‘train’ and ‘teach’ a little easier to use. Try them out for yourself.
