Creating an account is the first step with any service. With Daijob.com, it only takes 1 minute.
All you need to get started are three things: a username, email address, and password. While these alone won’t secure a job, the great thing about Daijob.com is that you can begin right away.
▲You can complete your registration on the homepage in just 1 minute.
If you press “Apply” on a job listing without registering, you’ll need to fill out your resume during registration to share your work history and skills with the company. This process takes about 5 minutes, depending on your preparation and preference.
▲Enter basic information such as your name, gender, and date of birth.
▲If you have work experience, you can freely input details such as the duration, salary, and additional information in text form.
Either way, whether you’re getting out of bed or commuting, you can get started with Daijob.com in no time!

Whether you’re actively job hunting or keeping an eye out for opportunities, enhancing your resume is the key to unlocking your full potential.

Here’s something to keep in mind: you’ll be working in Japan. While not all jobs require business-level Japanese, many hiring managers are Japanese, and not everyone speaks business-level English.
So, to catch the attention of recruiters, it’s a good idea to prepare your resume in Japanese. That’s where Daijob.com’s Automatic Translation feature comes in handy
▲On the right is the English version of the resume, and on the left is the Japanese version, automatically translated (with work experience created using the translation support tool).
The basic resume information is automatically created in Japanese when you fill it out in English. Similarly, if you create it in Japanese, it will automatically be created in English as well. Additional sections such as work experience, are not automatically translated, but the translation tool will assist you during input.
This feature helps you overcome language barriers, ensuring that your strengths stand out to a wider range of recruiters.
A common concern here is security.
At Daijob.com, your personal information (※) is not made public when creating your resume. As explained further below, it is only shared when both you and the company express mutual interest. However, be mindful that any personal information included in your work history will be made public.
※Personal information includes your name, current address, photo, date of birth, email address, and phone number.
▲ You can choose the visibility of your resume: “Public” or “Private.”
Many people may worry about their job search being discovered by their current workplace. To address this, Daijob.com allows you to block specific companies, ensuring they cannot view your resume.
While remote work has grown in popularity, finding the right people to work with is still best done in person. That’s why Daijob.com hosts the Career Fair in Tokyo every three months—an event designed to connect you with companies face-to-face.

One useful feature is the download function, which allows you to save your resume as a PDF. Bringing a printed copy to the Career Fair lets you meet many recruiters face-to-face. (You can also create or print your resume at the venue.)
▲ You can download your resume by clicking “PDF Download” on the right side of your profile icon.
Once your resume showcases your strengths, you’re all set to begin your job search!
To find your ideal job, narrow down your search criteria. Daijob.com offers specialized filters tailored for global job listings, such as “Overseas Applications Welcome” and “International Team,” to help you find the ideal match.
There are tricks for effective job search. Even for the same role, job titles can vary by country or region. For example, try searching “System Engineer” and “SE,” or “Web Marketing” and “Digital Marketing.” Changing your phrasing could help you find more relevant jobs. Additionally, when typing in Japanese, remember that there are full-width (ZENKAKU) and half-width (HANKAKU) characters. While full-width English input is rare in Japan, it’s not impossible. For example, try variations like “IT” vs. “IT”. It is recommended to test different keywords.
However, searching with mulPointle keywords each time you log in can be exhausting. Fortunately, Daijob.com offers time-saving features, such as “Save Search Conditions.” By saving your search parameters, you can access them with just one click, saving you from the hassle of resetting your preferences each time.
Now your job search is easier than ever! However, some of you might be too busy to even access the site. For those people, we recommend the “Job Mail” feature. With this feature, you’ll receive job listings that match your criteria, AI-powered job recommendations, and scout messages (explained below) directly to your registered email, once or twice a week.

Once you find your ideal job, apply right away before someone else gets selected!
However, job hunting isn’t just about you applying. Companies are also looking for you. That’s where Daijob.com’s scout feature comes in!
In the job search results, you’ll find a “Like” button.
This feature allows you to bookmark job listings. When you register, your information is also sent to the companies. As a result, you may receive scout messages from them.
In Japan, there’s a saying, “果報は寝て待て(かほうはねてまて、kahou ha nete mate)” which is similar to the English expression, “Good things come to those who wait.” If you come across a job that piques your interest, adding it to your favorites is a great idea. Your ideal job might just come through a scout message from a company!

You can respond to the received scout messages by selecting one of these three options: “Interested,” “Undecided,” or “Not Interested.” This allows you to decide whether to continue communicating with the company.
At this point, it’s just a matter of time until you find your ideal job.
The job listings on Daijob.com are updated daily, so keep checking your Job Mail and AI-recommended jobs. Using this platform is surprisingly simple and can be summed up in three steps :
