Global advertising

CONNECT INC. was created by 3 people who worked together at FCB in New York in 1986. The company is modeled after an American creative boutique. Unlike similar size design companies in Japan, CONNECT offers all round services, including production of advertising, brochures, websites, video, package design and company branding for major ad agencies and direct clients. About half of the work produced at CONNECT is in English. Many of our staff are bi-lingal or native English speakers making CONNECT a unique and truely global creative house.

CONNECT is currently looking for a web designer and an account exec. The web designer needs to be proficient with Flash action script(2.0 & 3.0), good knowledge of CSS and Java script or any other web related software are helpful. Needs to be a creative thinker who would like to venture beyond the accepted web site conventions, and eager to absorb new software or skills. For the account exec. position, candidates with related industry experience have a definite advantage. That includes ad agencies, design studios or marketing firms. He/she needs to be a self-starter who can come up with creative ways to approach new clients. Because half of the work is handled in English and some of the staff members are foreigners, business level English skills are a must. This is a great opportunity for someone who is not afraid of taking on new challenges and to join a unique and creative group of young designers.

Modern and bright office space

CONNECT's office is usually very quiet. All the designers have their jobs allocated. Each one has a 2 m desk space and a couple of Macs. They are totally involved in their creative process. Designers are given maximum freedom to come and go as they please as long as their work is done on time. The atmosphere is that of mutual respect. The ideal environment for an independent minded creative person.

Yoshi Kubodera; President

Studied in New York at Pratt Institute and School of Visual Arts and worked at FCB ad agency in Manhattan, the president of CONNECT, Yoshi Kubodera established his design studio modeled after an American creative boutique. Originally, wishing to become a fine artist, he spent some time in Paris and London before going to the States. Headed by a truly international minded president, CONNECT is one of a few design studios in Japan that can produce truly "international" work. He is now looking for a web designer who wants to challenge the boundry of conventional web design. As can be seen on Connect's own company web site, CONNECT is looking for a designer with a solid skill set as well as a unique artistic style. He is also looking for an account exec. who can cultivate and develop a totally new client base. This ideal person in his words; " Since we produce a variety of materials for a wide range of clients, I'm looking for someone who is independent, not afraid of making changes, capable of leading people who are equally independent minded and creative."
