Our client is currently looking to recruit a Solution Sales Manager who will be responsible for new sales revenue and business development for Japan.
* Achieve quarterly and annual new sales quota; negotiating and closing contracts for new sales
* Overall subscription base growth
* Create and execute the sales strategy for assigned territory within Japan
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to generate sales opportunities
* Develop a deep understanding of the research information/data management space, tracking market trends and competitor businesses
* Consult with existing customers and new customers on how to apply new product offering to their businesses
* Experience selling complex intangible products to research institutions/academics/public sector
* Previous relationship management or technical business development experience
* Background in complex solution-sales approach - "consultative selling"
* Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Japanese
* Excellent analytical and presentation skills
* Experienced in working in an international organisation
* Self-starter and determined approach to sales
* Competitive Salary + generous Commission based on performance, which is uncapped
