仕事内容 Our client is looking for an experienced all-round infrastructure analyst to join their cross-discipline team responsible for level 1/2 monitoring and operational support of IT infrastructure events/alerts. You will be joining a team of talented individuals within a global environment that welcomes professionals from different technical and cultural backgrounds. If you are passionate about technology and have a good eye for spotting infra deficiencies, this role is a match for you.


Description

Your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

* You will work as part of a regional level 1/2 production support team, troubleshoot and resolve issues with the firm's various infrastructure platforms globally operating under *follow the sun* model;
* You will focus on server (Unix/Linux, Windows administration) and network operations, but cross-training in other disciplines such as Middle-ware, Database, Market Data will also be possible;
* You will be responsible for proactive monitoring of the firm's IT infrastructure globally, in order to identify and address issues prior to production impact and provide efficient escalation mechanism to impacting issues as per ITIL framework;
* You will perform SOD/EOD health checks of infrastructure services globally to assess production readiness of IT Infrastructure prior to business open;
* You will investigate and resolve issues affecting the firm's infrastructure;
* You will assist application support and development teams in diagnosing application issues;
* You will collect diagnostic materials and other supporting evidence to identify the root cause of problems.
* You will work closely with the Incident management team to ensure effective management communication


Profile

If you meet most of the following criteria the you are probably a very good fit for the role:

Essential

* 5+ years minimum Unix/Linux, Solaris, Windows Administration
* Awareness and basic troubleshooting Network (LAN, WAN, Telecom/Voice) troubleshooting
* ITIL v3 foundation certified
* Prior experience in Event Management, IT Service Management tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow etc
* Experience in supporting IT systems in a multi-platform, multi-site, mission critical environment
* You have critical thinking skills and you are able to collect and analyze evidence from logs, monitoring and other diagnostics (such as stack traces).
* You are able to consistently apply documented processes and procedures.
* You are a self-starter, flexible and adaptable to change, readiness to work in shifts, customer Service focused with excellent communication skills.

Good to have

* Knowledge or conceptual understanding of other infrastructure technologies - Network, Database, Core Services, Market Data, Middleware, Storage, etc.
* Exposure to Incident Management lifecycle, management communication and reporting
