仕事内容 Data Centre Migration Project Manager

Our client (a global multinational Insurance company) is looking for a Data Centre Project Manager to join their team (through EIRE Systems), to support a migration project for their Japanese applications, to move everything to Singapore. This PM will be dedicated 100% to the project.

• Infrastructure project manager to manage the migration of the Tokyo data centre to Singapore. This project has 2 phases, the first the replication of the production Japan environment to Singapore to build and test disaster recovery capability, phase 2 is the migration of Japan production to Singapore.
• The total environment to be built and migrated is approximately 200 servers, the majority are virtual with a small number of physical hosts that will be required to be provisioned in Singapore. No hardware will be moved from Japan to Singapore. The project manager needs to have demonstrable experienced in projects of a similar size and complexity.
• Contract – 12 months

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assessing the requirements of the project and recommending suitable IT components
• Managing scheduling of geographically diverse technology teams supporting the project.
• Interview and recommendation of additional team members to be assigned to the project
• Analysing different options and recommending the most suitable for the project economically feasible
• Manage project budget and ensure that budget limits are not breached
• Manage a team of dedicated technology professionals from a range of disciplines including Network, Servers and Storage and Application Development.
• Formulating procedures and policies for optimum utilization of IT infrastructure resources in the company
• Supervising IT staff, consultants, vendors and suppliers
• Meeting with managers of different departments and assessing IT infrastructure needs
• Meeting with IT analysts and finalizing essential IT infrastructure
• Planning and supervising installation of IT infrastructure in the company
• Review of existing schedule and development of updated schedule
• Co-ordination with applications development teams to complete all application remediation in line with project schedule
• Reporting on project status for budget, risks and schedule
• Scheduling and chairing of all project related meetings, creation and distribution of meeting minutes.
• Creation and maintenance of a comprehensive risks and issues log
• Ensure projects achieve business needs within the parameters costs, duration and quality
• Participate in requirement gathering, user acceptance testing, training and roll out/implementation
• Responsibilities for ensuring adherence of all deliverables to appropriate standards and quality levels

応募条件 • Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments
• Expert hands-on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask
• Command of Schedule, Scope, Budget, Quality and Benefits at all times in the life cycle of the project
• Actively manage a critical path which allows for a line of sight into risk/issues before they have project/program impact
• Knowledge of the several of following technologies helpful: WAN, LAN, Storage Replication, Netbackup, WAN optimisation techniques and an ability to understand complex technical systems.
• Ability to keep up with latest developments in the field and upgrade IT infrastructure
• This is not a technical hands-on role. However, prior experience or demonstrated knowledge is required in order to develop a detailed working plan to ensure our success
• Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments
• Excellent analytical and observation skills
• Excellent Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio and Powerpoint skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Excellent planning and organization ability
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Bi-lingual English and Japanese preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
• At least 5 years’ experience in managing mid to large-scale IT infrastructure projects

IT education and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or information technology
• Current project management certification (Prince2 or PMP)
