The Japan Commercial business represents 60 Shop-In-Shop's, a number of outlets as well as a Wholesale channel comprising of 23 franchises and 160 accounts.
As the Head of Commercial, you will be the second most senior person in the Japan business, reporting into the president and a dotted report line into Head of region. The company believes in long term relationships both internally within the business and externally with suppliers and department stores. They understand that sometimes it takes 3-5 years to complete a project. They provide a lot of training, not only commercial but also for their manufacturing.
The role is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of around 50 corporate staff in head office, continue to build on their strong relationships with Senior Management at the major Japanese department stores and ensure that this company are positioned in the right locations with the best presence possible. Taking particular advantage of refurbishments and new department store openings as they arise.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual, have strong relationships with senior management at the department stores which are portable and as a result of their abilities, not the brand they work for. Furthermore this person will be a strong leader with an ability to develop new business strategies & channels, get buy-in from their team and execute in a timely and profitable manner.
