| 仕事内容 |
A renowned entertainment company is seeking a Director of Legal and Business Affairs, Japan. The selected candidate will oversee all legal and business affairs related to production, financing, and distribution within Japan, ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a hybrid role. Responsibilities: * Provide legal and business affairs advice on scripted drama and anime productions * Draft, negotiate, and review production agreements for writers, talent, and key personnel * Advise management on financing structures and production service agreements * Oversee distribution and rights exploitation agreements for film and TV content * Manage and develop the Legal & Business Affairs team to ensure effective support * Supervise external counsel and ensure efficient contract management and documentation Requirements: * More than 10 years of experience in providing commercially focused business affairs and legal support within a media company or studio (structuring, negotiating and drafting film and television agreements) * Experience with negotiating and contracting with broadcasters and other distribution platforms * Prior experience in managing a legal and business affairs team * Proven experience with recruitment and management of external legal counsel * Understanding of exploitation and protection of Intellectual Property rights * Familiarity with film and television development, production, acquisition and/or distribution * Possess valid legal qualification in Japan, US, or UK * Professional level Japanese and English (strong drafting skills is required) |
