* Manage airfreight procurement and airline capacity to ensure cost-effective and efficient airfreight operations * Manage a team of staff and partner with key stakeholders Description * Develop strategy for airfreight procurement by conducting market research and partnering with internal stakeholders * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and forecast airfreight demand * Identify several airline options; benchmark and evaluate airlines * Negotiate with airlines on rates and contracting terms to secure competitive rates and highest quality service * Analyze capacity of airlines and collaborate with airlines to secure cargo space; troubleshoot any capacity constraints with airlines * Monitor performance of airlines and ensure that airlines are meeting compliance standards and service quality is intact * Manage a team of staff Profile * Minimum 5 years of airfreight procurement experience * Experience working at a logistics company * People management and stakeholder management experience * Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred * Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan Job Offer * Industry leading logistics company with global presence * Opportunity to work with major global and domestic airlines * Opportunity to manage a team of staff * Competitive salary package and benefits * Hybrid remote work option available To apply online please click the 'Apply' button below.
