The motivation for changing jobs was not that I was dissatisfied with the company I was working for, but that there were unavoidable circumstances.
I was working for a company in Nagoya, but due to my family's circumstances, I had no choice but to work near Tokyo.
I had plenty of time to prepare for changing jobs, so I was initially looking for a job site or an acquaintance.
Actually, when I tried to change jobs on my own, I realized that the more I searched for it, the more I got lost .
Also, because the amount of information is limited, I couldn't make a decision, and while doing so, it took time.
At that time, I met an ITJS consultant.
It was my first experience to change jobs, so it was very helpful to learn from very first step about how to change jobs succesfully .
In a word, ITJS consultants are like matchmakers when people get married .
They introduce me the best matched jobs after getting to know what kind of work and wordplace I'd like, and wha kind of people companies would like to hire.
It's a little exaggerated, but I felt like that.
It's been about three months since I changed jobs, and I realized with experiences that the consultant emphasized "a company that focuses on employee education".
In my case, I think I was a beginner in changing jobs, so when I was doing the job change activities on my own, I felt lonely and frustrated.
But during the meeting with the consultant, my shoulders were relaxed and I was able to make calm decisions .
I think there are advantages and disadvantages to those who change jobs on their own and those who work with consultants. In my case, I'm glad I chose the latter.
