PEAK DMC JAPAN is part of the Intrepid Group, one of the world’s largest providers of adventure travel.
Our Japanese office, which opened in Kyoto in 2017, is currently looking for a Reservations Supervisor.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global travel company as it expands its operations in Japan. It is a perfect position for a travel industry professional who is passionate about travel in Japan and delivering a great customer experience, and who likes the hands-on nature of working on multiple projects in a friendly and flexible small-team environment.
・Responsible for the administration and bookings for both Intrepid Group and external client requirements.
・Manages the accurate and efficient confirmation of bookings for all suppliers for scheduled trips
・Ensures the budgeted costs are correct and that all information relating to the booking is accurately recorded in internal systems
・Using tools and materials provided by the PEAK DMC Global team, provides leadership to the Reservations team and delivers service-level excellence for PEAK DMC Japan
・Responsible for the team achieving fast turn-around times as well as accurate bookings and confirmations
・Works to improve internal reservations processes and, along with other managerial staff in the PEAK DMC Japan office, contributes to providing excellence in customer service

The Reservations team contributes to this success by providing quick and accurate bookings, confirmations and suitable alternatives to all accepted quotes for our DMC clients. The team also completes reservations work for accommodation, transport and activities for all trips operated for our parent company, the Intrepid Group.
|Working Hours||9:00 - 18:00|
• Supervisory experience, including leading a team through coaching, training and developing
• Experience working in Japan’s travel industry (ideally in Japan’s inbound reservations sector)
• Strong knowledge of Japan as a destination
• Familiar with reservations systems and processes
• Excellent organizational skills, with ability to manage own workloads and supervise team workloads
• Excellent standards of customer service
• Strong communication skills in Japanese and English
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, Email)
• Certified Travel Supervisor qualification (preferred)
