| Job Description |
The Staff Accountant in Tokyo, Japan is responsible for all day-to-day, monthly accounting duties of the Japan legal entity. Work produced must be complete, accurate, and timely, and in compliance with all pertinent accounting regulations, i.e., US GAAP, Japan statutory, Japan tax, and corporate policies & procedures. Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day general ledger entries • Payroll monthly related entries, accruals, taxes and insurances • Calculation of Royalties for APAC countries • Assist with monthly closing and reconciliation • Assist with tax related documents for year-end closing process • Global intercompany transactions and reconciliations • As backup for another staff accountant (mainly Accounts payable) • Performs other related duties as assigned. |

| Job Requirements |
【Required Conditions】 ・Bachelor's degree or equivalent accounting knowledge and work experience ・Business level of Japanese and English (ability to read contracts in Japanese language) for smooth day-to-day operations. ・Advanced Excel skills (not limited to pivot, VLOOKUP). ・Ability to understand accounting and financial processes, methodologies, concepts, and good knowledge of GAAP. ・Ability to work under a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 【Desired Skills and Experience】 ・Hands-on experience in accounting software, preferable Oracle. ・Strong experience in general accounting or tax accounting will be highly regarded. ・High attention to detail. |
