Job Description Purpose

- Support sales and fragrance development teams to develop and sell superior fragrance solutions to key customers in consumer products industry.

- Use in-depth category, brand, consumer, and fragrance understanding to develop solid growth plans and new fragrance development projects on assigned category

- As part of a core team, lead strategic innovation projects to develop next generation fragrances in Japan

- Monitor and disseminate market and consumer information

- Support and guide consumer research programs in Japan

- Supervise and develop Marketing Assistant/Fragrance land coordinator



Core Responsibilities ‐Marketing programs and development

· Category/consumer knowledge and fragrance expertise

o Own in-depth category knowledge

o Monitor new launch activity, record in Fragrance Land, purchase new launch products and collaborate with marketing colleagues in different regions

o Responsible for deriving consumer insights from market research data and reports to help new fragrance development working with Consumer Market Insights (CMI)

· Trend awareness

o Be aware of Japan market trends and sociological perspectives and can translate them into market insights to present trends that impact fragrances and consumer behaviour

o Be aware of global and APAC trends in beauty, fashion, culture to be able to present trends that impact fragrances and consumer behaviour

o Lead and/or contribute to trend presentations

· Consumer research

o Support execution of consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) in Japan.

o Manage moderation of 1 on 1 interviews

o Data analysis skill for consumer research

· Data Collection/Management

o Market intelligence-collect and record all latest product launches and details

o Prepare standard category reviews and trend presentations

· Prepare & Deliver key/strategic presentations

o Key client pitches in partnership with sales to support selling fragrance solutions

· Innovation project participation

o Part of core team that will deliver the next generation of fragrances..

· Be part of and help in creating an innovative buzz in the company

· Provide support to marketing and design colleagues on marketing programmes and projects

· Be a brand Image guardian for our corporate brand
