Job Description A biopharmaceutical company is searching for a Scientific Affairs Manager. The chosen applicant will be developing and implementing strategically aligned medical affairs plans and fostering scientific partnerships.

Responsibilities:

* Serve as a scientific peer-to-peer resource to disease experts and the medical community by providing up-to-date medical and product information to build the rare genetic diseases of obesity community

* Interpret key scientific data and translate it to meet educational and research needs
* Identify HCP knowledge gaps and facilitate medical/scientific non-promotional presentations to support the scientific communication plan
* Provide scientific input and participate in local medical and cross-functional initiatives/projects, promoting local scientific publications
* Communicate key medical insights from external experts to inform medical strategy development
* Maintain effective communication among internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with company, industry, legal, and regulatory requirements
* Contribute to CRM efforts within the organisation
* Respond promptly to unsolicited requests for medical information, ensuring accurate and fair-balanced responses are provided



Requirements:

* Advanced degree in a pharmaceutical, scientific, or medical field (PharmD, PhD, MD)
* More than 8 years of experience within a Medical Science Liaison or similar field-facing role with primary emphasis on field-based scientific exchange within the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
* Relevant pharmaceutical and clinical/therapeutic experience is also a consideration (rare disease experiences are a plus)
* Superior communication skills and scientific acumen when presenting clinical, disease state information to a variety of audiences
* knowledge of regional/local specific healthcare systems, the evolving medical landscape, reimbursement and industry trends
* Fluent level Japanese; proficient in written and verbal English
