Job Description - Design and develop C++ systems, with a primary focus on high-performance trading systems and related infrastructure. - Collaborate with the development team to implement best practices, coding standards, and effective software design. - Build and maintain core components, libraries, and modules that support our trading systems, ensuring low latency, high availability, and peak performance. - Partner with QA to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues, delivering robust and reliable trading solutions. - Monitor system performance, analyze bottlenecks, and optimize code for maximum efficiency, especially within trading applications. - Document development choices and provide technical insights to the team. Required Skills - Over 3 years of experience as a C/C++ developer. - UNIX/Linux expertise, including shell scripting and knowledge of tools such as awk and sed. - Hands-on experience with POSIX APIs and network programming (TCP/UDP). - Proficient in multi-threaded programming and well-versed in source version control processes. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a genuine interest in open-source development. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience using automated testing tools and frameworks. - Familiarity with complex software systems, especially in high-performance environments. - Knowledge of financial systems, trading protocols, or exchange connectivity (preferred but not required). |
