Job Description |
Responsibility Working as a radar engineer at Synspective gives you the opportunity to interact with new datasets on a daily basis. You will not only work closely with other team members to improve our existing software for calibration and image analysis, but also develop your own algorithms, implement and integrate them. You will also have the chance to work together with other teams and contribute to the design and development of our satellites’ radar system. Details of work Calibration and validation of Synspective’s SAR satellites Analyzing the quality of SAR images Developing algorithms and software for processing and analyzing SAR images Conducting design reviews and system engineering of the satellite’s radar system Selling points of this role Develop advanced signal processing routines that can deal with large, multi-gigabyte datasets Learn about spaceborne SAR at one of the few companies active in this area Collaborate with engineers with diverse specialities (satellite engineering, signal and image processing, data science, machine learning, …) |
Company Info | This Company is building a constellation of SAR satellites that will produce hundreds of images of the Earth everyday. We are looking for a radar engineer to develop, implement and evaluate various algorithms for radar data processing, calibration and image quality assurance. |

Job Requirements |
Minimum Requirement -Knowledge of digital signal processing -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics and more than 5 years of work experience -Experience with SAR -Experience in one programming language (such as Python or Matlab) -Good verbal and written English Preferred Requirement -Master’s and more than 2 years of work experience or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics -Experience with InSAR -Experience in working with large datasets -Basic knowledge of Git, Linux and cloud-computing providers such as GCP -Basic knowledge in software engineering (unit testing, continuous integration, …) -Good verbal and written Japanes |
