Job Description A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and credible HR professional to join the Computacenter team in Tokyo as the HR Manager. This is a true generalist role that will see you involved in all operational and strategic elements of HR as well as engaging with in-country senior manager on a regular basis.

You will work closely your HR colleague and line managers, ensuring that you provide support and guidance across all elements of the HR spectrum including liaison with the employee representative groups and 3rd party suppliers.

You will also play a key role in the wider Group HR team which will see you engaging with your HR counter parts across Europe & APAC and working in collaboration to embed and drive group HR initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

Work closely with the Japan country Manager advising on local HR legislation, governance and compliance matters.
Establishing yourself as the situational expert on all HR and employee relations matters. Advising and guiding managers on complex labour and legal issues, working with legal advisors, as necessary. Ensuring issues are resolved.
Manage, develop and coach the member of the HR team to help ensure the delivery of HR function
Will provide backup / support to the HR Co-Ordinator for regular HR tasks to including onboarding, payroll, offboarding, etc.
Ensures operational compliance with legal and social obligations.
Appraise and update all local and Corporate HR policies and processes and present to employees and managers.
Ensure that all administrative processes are efficient and fit for purpose and update where required. With specific reference to providing payroll cover when required.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and serve as an advisor to Corporate on geographic specific information related to these.
Other responsibilities
Provision of support in country with local bids
Work in close partnership with other HR Managers, sharing best practice, leveraging each others expertise.
Ensure you understand the HR operating model and leverage other internal teams
Support the implementation of Group and local Human Resources programs as required

Requirements
Required Skills:

Proven track record as a HR Manager or Business Partner in a fast paced, commercial environment or someone who is looking for the next move up
HR professional with full generalist capability including recruitment, ER, reward, talent management and employee development.
Strong knowledge of local employment law and up to date understanding of recent legislation
Exceptional ability to develop strong relationships at all levels
Ability to analyse, plan, and project manage
Bi-lingual, to include fluency in English both oral and written.
Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with Senior Leaders
Preferred Skills:

Dynamic, positive, people-oriented attitude, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Excellent multitasking & structured problem-solving skills
English Level Fluent (TOEIC 865-)
Japanese Level Fluent(JLPT Level 1 or N1)
