Job Description • Own your services, from tech design to deployment and monitoring.
• Work with modern languages and frameworks, cloud infrastructure and authentication layers, solving real problems impacting millions of users.
• Get a chance to touch different aspects of company ecosystem: Shopping, Partner APIs and internal services.
• Share your knowledge within the engineering domain and contribute to evolving best practices and culture.
• Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
• Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Liaising with team members, management, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to standard.
• Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.

• Updating work schedules and performing troubleshooting as required.
• Motivating staff and creating a workspace where everyone can ask questions and voice their concerns.
• Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.

Job
Requirements		 • Broad software development experience with one or more modern general-purpose programming languages including, but not limited to, Java, Scala and Go.
• 2+ years of experience working as a tech lead in an Agile environment and at least 5 years working as a backend engineer.
• Willingness to build professional relationships with the team and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud ecosystem.
• Experience with TDD (nice to have).
• Experience with designing and building fast and reliable search components and data pipelines at scale (nice to have).
• Solid understanding of event sourcing in Kafka (nice to have).
• Confidence with Docker and Terraform development tools.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate with distributed and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Passion and sense of ownership.
