| Job Description |
• Work independently on the Cockpit module Instrument Panel & Console components design & development • Co-ordinate project actions with the customer team and offshore (India) to deliver, in line with program targets • Be responsible for the components Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly DFA • Analysis of the Master sections and development of 3D concept models • Develop CAD designs and provide engineering documentation support – modeling, drafting, and engineering release using NX CAD tool • Present the designs to customer teams during project review • Participation in development meetings with suppliers and Customer • Leading the design team in all technical aspects and delivering the results • Understand Fit and Finish target values and design mounting and locating structure* (stack-up verification: single part tolerance, thermal shrinkage difference), screw connection, etc.) • Support in technical coordination for system understanding, and inputs study, and provide technical direction and workload priorities to the offshore team • To check the content of designs for release against the specification, the data integrity of CAD geometry and resolution of digital build concerns prior to sign-off • Ensuring the design of all components meets the technical specifications |

| Job Requirements |
• 10+ years of total experience with at least 8 years of Design activities in automotive subsystems • Must be Excellent in UG NX 3D & 2D skills • Experience in designing natural fiber material components • Working knowledge on the Interiors instrument panels, console is a must • Should have good experience in designing the components like IP Substrate, IP center components, IP lower panels, IP Driver side panels, center console, Skin-foam-substrate components, Console • Should be very good in the design of plastic injection molded parts and have tooling knowledge • Should know GDnT, DFA, DFM, DFMEA • Experience in Design release lifecycles • Experience in configuration management concepts • Experience in supplier interaction required • Japanese language is necessary (N3 and above is a must) • Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Degree required and above preferred |
