What We're Proud ofThe Type of Environment Where We Plan

Tsubaiso fits my ideal programming style
I am currently a programmer at Tsubaiso working on the Tsubaiso ERP.
Tsubaiso is my first job as a programmer, but I studied Ruby on Rails and am using it now so did not have much trouble getting started.
My ideal programming style is to be able to use both technologies that I am familiar with, but also be able to work on new and different technologies as well. Tsubaiso fits my style because I get to use Ruby on Rails along with technologies such as Kintone, Salesforce, and AWS.

A positive workplace that supports learning
I believe that programmers need to continue learning regularly and at Tsubaiso there are programmers with far more experience than me whom I'm able to learn from daily.
We also have many resources such as books and access to e-learning sites that everyone has access to which reduces the stress of studying. I've requested many books and site access and Tsubaiso fulfilled each request.
For example, I requested some study material because I was interested in learning more about APIs and was able to get the materials and learn from them. Then I requested to work on the API for Tsubaiso and was able to apply my new knowledge there.
Tsubaiso is a very positive and easy-going workplace where you can learn and work on things that you are interested in the most.

We communicate and share information

Since we are a fast-growing company, our staff is increasing at a rapid pace. The way we must communicate changes regularly, so everyone must be flexible.
When I joined, I was worried about my Japanese ability and my ability to communicate. However, I was able to interact with my co-workers partly in English, which removed my worries about communication.
Now, we have staff and part-timers that come from countries such as USA, China, and Indonesia, and although it may be difficult at times to communicate, Tsubaiso has naturally become a great place to learn both English and Japanese.

Now that we have people that come from different countries, the amount of ideas and information has multiplied. I have been able to recommend books, e-learning sites, etc. that are popular and useful in America that aren't well-known yet in Japan and now we use and learn from them. We also have optional study groups using both English and Japanese material. I feel that knowledge sharing is very important to us.

Tsubaiso uses programming language that I've never used before, so I learned from it. Fortunately they have something called"pair programming" and taught me programming through that . Pair programming was an effective way to introduce the Tsubaiso's development environment. Also I got free access to several different e-learning websites.

Working in Tsubaiso as an intern programmer gave me lot of project management. Before I came to Tsubaiso I didn't have any idea about software project management in real development, but now I know why project management is needed and how it effects development directly. Early in the week, we have a meeting to plan activity for the week(sprint) and we close the sprint with retrospective which explains what we had do, problems we had, what we should improve by this week. Not only experienced about professional working but also I knew Tsubaiso as well as Japan culture.

I experienced many different types of culture shock, but the people were understanding in that I needed time get used Japan's culture. Most foreigners will have culture shock in the beginning but because the team members are very understanding, you will have nothing to worry about.
