What are the points for the new Status of Residence: Tokutei-Ginou(Specified skilled worker) and Tokutei-Katsudou (Designated Activities-for Japanese university graduates)? Presented by an immigration lawyer.

Two new Status of Residence, Tokutei-Ginou(Specified skilled worker) and Tokutei-Katsudou (Designated Activities-for Japanese university graduates) have established as the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Law has renewed. It expands work fields for foreign nationalities which allows them to work in occupations and industries that they're not allowed to before.
From the perspective of business, employers have more opportunities to hire foreign nationalities. However, there are a lot of unclear parts, especially, Tokutei-Ginou(Specified skilled worker) that started on the 1st of April.
In this seminar, I'd like to talk about not only the latest information but also, some useful tips on applying.

Mr. O'Callaghan teaches Marketing and Strategy at GLOBIS. He was born in the UK, spent time teaching in France and Russia, and came to Japan nearly 20 years ago. After obtaining his MBA from GLOBIS, he took on a wider role as Head of Marketing and Operations, UK Trade and Investment. In early 2016, making use of his extensive consulting and external trade experience, he started his own market entry consultancy based in Hyogo Prefecture.

Just what is the Career Fair?

The Career Fair is a forum for employers and job seekers to meet face-to-face. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with and learn about a number of companies in one place in one day.

Are participating companies interviewing and screening potential candidates at the Fair?

The Fair is not a venue for formal interviews and screenings. However, some participating companies may conduct interviews. Also impressions left from meeting with companies at the Fair could have an effect on any subsequent selection process.

Do I have to pay an entrance fee to attend?

No. Attendance is free of charge.
