Using our IT expertise, this Japanese software giant continues to meet the most stringent quality standards in their ERP implementation. Operational efficiency was the main criterion in the selection and implementation of an ERP system.
Our customer in this project, a Japanese software giant, is the subsidiary of a large manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment. It wanted an ERP system that would enable it to efficiently manage the thousands of software projects that it was handling. The system had to satisfy specific business needs and also have add-ons for fulfilling special needs.
Based on SAP R/3 (version 4.6C), our solution is comprehensive, covering all business processes in the project life cycle. While the mandatory modules like finance, sales and distribution, materials management, etc. cater to the generic business processes, the Project System (PS) module satisfies our customer's core business needs.
The solution handles the entire project life cycle including planning, budgeting, execution and period end closing. New projects can be created in the system whenever sales orders are entered while costs and revenues can be collected from the work breakdown structure (WBS) to analyze profitability. The PS module permits monitoring of special overheads while extensive reporting features enable periodic status reviews and analysis.
Our consultants continue to use their bilingual skills commendably, ensuring effective knowledge sharing and guiding their Japanese counterparts during the complex integration of SAP R/3 PS with other modules.
Quinnox's professional approach and commitment to the client's demanding quality standards have been highly appreciated.
